Let omricon circulate

Then we gain super immunity that could end Covid 19

I quote here, the following article from the NZ Herald, on 26/1/22.

Scientists have claimed that a so-called “super-immunity” to Covid-19 can be achieved by people who have been infected by the virus after receiving the vaccine for the disease.

“The likelihood of getting breakthrough infections is high because there is so much virus around us right now,” Dr Tafesse said. “But we position ourselves better by getting vaccinated. And if the virus comes, we’ll get a milder case and end up with this super immunity.”

Research was carried out on vaccinated people recently. They said: vaccination, coupled with immunity received from experiencing an infection, almost always provided a very strong immune response against potential future infections.

“It makes no difference whether you get infected and then vaccinated, or if you get vaccinated and then a breakthrough infection,” said co-senior author Fikadu Tafesse, PhD, assistant professor of molecular microbiology and immunology in the OHSU School of Medicine.

“In either case, you will get a really, really robust immune response – amazingly high.”

The research goes on to show that the immune response of fully-jabbed people following breakthrough infections is “extremely high” – describing it as “super immunity”.

The researchers found their antibodies were 10 times more potent than proteins made by participants who managed to dodge Covid completely.

The study is the first of its kind in the world – whereby academics took blood samples from more than 100 fully vaccinated volunteers and exposed them against three different strains of coronavirus.

It found that it doesn’t matter whether someone gets a breakthrough infection or gets vaccinated after a natural infection.

“In both cases, the immune response measured in blood serum revealed antibodies that were equally more abundant and more potent – at least 10 times more potent – than immunity generated by vaccination alone,” the authors wrote.

The study was done before the emergence of the highly transmissible Omicron variant, but researchers expect the immune responses they detected would be similar for the highly-transmissible strain.

My comments from here are based upon research findings from Dr John Campbell:

Campbell said that people who have had the virus without being vaccinated, also gain a level of immunity in the future. This means, Novak Djokovic should have been allowed to enter Australia and play; but the authorities didn’t have enough data yet, to prove this. Information is now coming to light, (if you watch Dr Campbells latest videos). Catching Omricon, we are unlikely to need hospitalisation for the majority (of vaccinated people and previously infected). However it still is dangerous for people with existing co-morbidities, AND for dark pigmented/skinned people. Why? Because dark skin does not absorb as much sunlight. Hence Dr Campell strongly suggests all dark-skinned people take Vitamin D3 Supplements to fortify against this immune deficiency.

According to Dr John Campbells research, the milder omricon has taken over every country where it has arrived, and virtually replaced the more dangerous delta variant. This is excellent for the world. When it spreads in NZ, it will afford us some super immunity while it goes around.

High risk still remains for the

  1. unvaccinated (and never before infected),
  2. the dark-skinned, and
  3. those with co-morbidities
NZ needs to revise its covid response according to Dr Campbell
NZ needs to revise its covid response according to Dr Campbell

Dr Campbell said, so far in all countries, after an unpleasant initial upsurge of omricon infections across the board, (which are potentially bad for the unvaccinated and the vulnerable), for the majority of vaccinated, it has resulted in milder cases. Less ICU and less overwhelm to hospital services”.  Dr Campbell showed US data, that the risk remained high, for people NOT exposed to any kind of Covid. Which is similar for most of NZ. We don’t yet know how it is going to pan out, but we will soon find out. It would not hurt to get the virus, to naturally manufacture the antibodies, which would give us natural immunity against future coronaviruses.

Therefore in my estimation, the sooner Omricon takes over NZ, the better. Yes it isn’t nice to get it nor are we able to stop the occasional deaths for some vulnerable people , i.e. the already sick and elderly. But it seems the only way forward, is to go through, not suppress, like other countries are learning.

Omicron symptoms are – cough, scratchy throat, runny nose, body aches – regardless of whether people are boosted, but if they are boosted then their symptoms will generally not be as severe.

There have been “gastro-tummy” symptoms, particularly in children, Professor Bloomfield said. Loss of smell or taste didn’t seem to be a symptom of Omicron. (NZ Herald, 1/3/22)

The omicron variant is predicted by some to end the pandemic, yet it would help to have a more effective universal vaccine ready to deploy against future variants.

Hundreds of millions are being spent on developing new vaccines, I have great faith new solutions just around the corner. To back up the science, here is an article from the National Geopgraphic Magazine, about new vaccines: Is a universal coronavirus vaccine on the horizon? (nationalgeographic.com)
